FRAGMENTS

A jewellery collection that journeys through time, uncovering the hidden poetry in architectural details from across the ages. From the ornate carvings of Arabic doors and windows to the grandeur of Gothic cathedrals, Romanesque arches, Renaissance elegance, and Victorian or Georgian flourishes, each piece is a tribute to craftsmanship long admired and often forgotten.

As an artist, I explore these fragments — once part of towering structures, sacred spaces, or private homes — and reimagine them in miniature form, preserving their stories in precious metals and stones. This collection revives the soul of these architectural moments, restoring their sparkle and honouring the cultures and traditions they were born from.

With FRAGMENTS, I invite you to wear a piece of history — not as a relic, but as a radiant echo of human creativity carried into the present.

The Arabic Door

The Arabic Door brooch stands as a deeply personal masterpiece within Elsa Sarantidou’s Fragments collection — a work of devotion, patience, and perfect detail.

Inspired by the ornate geometry and spiritual symbolism of traditional Arabic architecture, the brooch is handcrafted in oxidized sterling silver with a luminous 18ct gold accent at its center, like a handle poised to open. Behind its lace-like lattice, 400 pavé-set sapphires glow in rich shades of strawberry pink, sky blue, and golden yellow — echoing the vibrant glasswork of sacred spaces and forgotten cities.

Meticulously hand-finished, this brooch is more than a piece of jewellery; it is a portal — a symbol of heritage, memory, and craftsmanship. With only one final version chosen after a dozen trials, the Arabic Door is a treasure meant to be kept close, held dear, and never repeated.
